Since leaving the royal family, Harry and Meghan have made a string of explosive statements against the royal family. Their many interviews have worsened relations between Harry and his brother William, once so close. Nevertheless, Kate Middleton’s recent illness and that of King Charles III have led to speculation about a reconciliation. However, Meghan Markle’s presence appears to be a concern for some members of the royal family.
Sources close to the family have suggested that these ordeals could serve as a catalyst to bring its members back together. Prince William and Kate Middleton are said to have even reached out to the Sussexes, inviting them to return to the United Kingdom with their children, Archie and Lilibet, in a gesture of unity.
However, the road to reconciliation appears to be fraught with obstacles, mainly because of Meghan Markle, according to some. The former Suits actress is said to have set two conditions for considering a reconciliation with the royal family. She would be expecting more respect and apologies for what she has allegedly been put through. This position would appear to be supported by her husband Prince Harry.
