The Series Desperate Housewives Is Going to Return

A cult series for years, Desperate Housewives could soon return to our screens. Eva Longoria made this announcement at the Cannes festival, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the series. The actress specified that it would not be a spin-off, thus delighting fans.

The series, which began in 2004, had a huge international success, ending after eight seasons. Since then, the characters of Bree Van de Kamp, Susan Mayer, Gabrielle Solis and Lynette Scavo are unforgettable. Eva Longoria revealed that the reunion would be special, but without giving more details.

Since the end of the series, Longoria has continued her career, appearing in various productions. She is currently starring in season 4 of Only Murders in the Building alongside Selena Gomez. She is also preparing the series La terre des femmes (Land of Women in French), which she co-produces.

On May 19, Longoria joined the Cannes Walk of Stars, honoring more than 450 film luminaries. On May 20, she participated in the Global Gift Gala, a charity evening, where she confirmed the Desperate Housewives reunion.

Actresses Teri Hatcher and Eva Longoria have expressed their enthusiasm for this project. Marcia Cross also showed a keen interest in reuniting with her former colleagues. Fans can therefore hope to see their favorite characters from Wisteria Lane, the famous upscale suburb, to celebrate this special anniversary.
