Pharrell Williams: Successful Comeback at Paris Fashion Week

Pharrell Williams continues his love story with Paris

The beginning of the Paris Men’s Fashion Week Fall-Winter 2024-2025 was marked by the presentation of the third collection by Pharrell Williams for Louis Vuitton. The famous American artist, now the artistic director of the house’s men’s collections, organized a remarkable show near the Louis Vuitton Foundation in the Bois de Boulogne.

The setting of the show was a massive red cube, creating an intense visual atmosphere. Celebrities such as LeBron James, Bradley Cooper, Tahar Rahim, Omar Sy, as well as artists like Playboi Carti and the K-Pop group Riize among others, were present at the event.

The theme of the collection, Paris LVirginia, was subtly revealed on the Louis Vuitton website and on Instagram, evoking an American western landscape. Traditional Native American drums set the tone for this journey into the Wild West, with music specially created for the occasion: The Spirit of Saturday Night Live by The Natives Voices of Resistance x Pharrell Williams.

The reinvented cowboy style dominated the runway. The silhouettes were marked by fringed jackets, yellow overcoats, leather vests, and of course cowboy hats. Innovation was on the agenda with modern and pixelated designs, and the use of raw materials such as suede, denim, and leather. Patterns inspired by the American West adorned the outfits, while Vuitton’s iconic travel bags were highlighted.

Pharrell Williams closed the show under a fall of artificial snow, adding a poetic touch to this memorable evening. His first two collections had already made a splash, with a spectacular show on the Pont-Neuf and a presentation in Hong Kong.

This collection once again illustrates Pharrell’s ability to merge influences from fashion, music, and culture, bringing freshness and modernity to the Louis Vuitton house.
