A Cannes Film Festival for Camille Cottin

The actress Camille Cottin at a port in Cannes

The Cannes Film Festival, a flagship event of global cinema, is hosting a well-known French mistress of ceremonies this year: Camille Cottin. The announcement made on March 14th highlights the choice of the actress to lead the opening and closing ceremonies of the 77th edition, which will take place from May 14th to 25th. This distinction shines a light on Camille Cottin’s international career, especially after her participation in films like House of Gucci.

Camille Cottin succeeds famous actresses such as Chiara Mastroianni and Virginie Efira… She thus asserts her status as an important figure in French cinema. Her varied roles, from the series Call My Agent to her performances in Hollywood, demonstrate her flexibility.

Greta Gerwig, the director of Barbie who needs no introduction, will preside over the jury of this edition, which promises to be fresh. The jury will award the Palme d’Or to the film that will succeed Anatomy of a Fall by Justine Triet, which was awarded last year. The competition will feature films from all over the world.

Stars and starlets will not fail to put on their show, as usual. Stay tuned!
