Travis Scott, one of the major figures in American rap, was arrested this Friday morning, August 9. This happened at the George V hotel, located in the 8th arrondissement of Paris. The rapper is accused of assault on a security guard, according to a source from the Paris prosecutor’s office.
The incident occurred after the police were called to the hotel. The security guard allegedly tried to separate the rapper from his bodyguard before being assaulted himself. According to a source close to the case, Travis Scott was heavily intoxicated and refused to take a breathalyzer test. The 1st judicial police district has been assigned to the investigation. However, it has not been confirmed if the artist is currently in custody.
A few hours before this event, Travis Scott had been seen in Bercy. It was during the men’s basketball semi-final of the Paris Olympic Games. On his Instagram account, followed by 57 million people, he had shared images. It was of his presence at a nightclub party.
