A sober and determined portrait of Tiphaine Auzière, captured at the dawn of her increasing media exposure

Tiphaine Auzière is no longer just the stepdaughter of Emmanuel Macron. Since October 2024, the lawyer at the Paris bar has been working as a judicial columnist on the very popular show Touche pas à mon poste on C8. This unexpected media choice marks a major turning point in her previously very discreet career.

The show hosted by Cyril Hanouna, often controversial, offers her a unique platform. She addresses sensitive legal topics with rigor and pedagogy. Her seriousness and social commitment give her strong legitimacy. She does not hesitate to directly tackle complex subjects like juvenile criminal law. Moreover, she persists even in the face of criticism. Additionally, she remains firm despite the misunderstandings of her fellow columnists.

A childhood marked by a family of notables: the Trogneux

Born in 1984, Tiphaine Auzière is the youngest of three children of Brigitte Macron (née Trogneux) and André-Louis Auzière, a banker who passed away in 2019. Her maternal family, the Trogneux family, is known in Amiens for its industrial heritage in the chocolate industry. This renowned family business has shaped the bourgeois and then scholarly reputation of the Trogneux.

It was first in Truchtersheim, in Alsace, then in Amiens, that Tiphaine grew up, immersed in a rich and stimulating intellectual environment. Her mother, a recognized teacher at La Providence high school, instilled in her a love for literature and ideas from an early age. The separation of her parents and the arrival of Emmanuel Macron in her life profoundly transformed her youth. Furthermore, it brought her maturity and independence.

A brilliant academic path, focused on social law

After a brief experience in hypokhâgne, Tiphaine Auzière chose to study law at the Sorbonne University in Paris, obtaining a Master 2 in labor law. From 2009, she was sworn in and began a career focused on defending employees, particularly in the delicate contexts of social plans. Her professional commitment quickly doubled with a personal commitment to social justice.

In 2018, she founded the firm Challenges Avocats in Boulogne-sur-Mer, continuing her mission to make justice more accessible to all. In 2024, her novel titled Assises, based on real cases from her career as a lawyer, received a warm reception. This book accurately explores the moral and judicial dilemmas faced by ordinary women. Thus, it reinforces her image as a public figure sensitive to contemporary issues.

A discreet but constant political commitment

Since 2017, she has actively supported Emmanuel Macron‘s presidential campaign, notably participating in the structuring of the LREM movement in Pas-de-Calais. As a substitute for a local candidate, she asserts herself as a discreet but committed politician, prioritizing the values of social justice and equality.

Her controversial educational project is the non-contract high school Autrement, opened in 2020 and located in the Paris region. However, it is the subject of much media criticism. Expensive, claiming a strong academic excellence, and surrounded by controversial figures, the establishment sparks debates and controversies. Tiphaine Auzière stands by this choice, despite the pressures.

A personal life under the media spotlight

Married until 2025 to gastroenterologist Antoine Choteau, she is the mother of two children, Élise and Aurèle. Long settled on the Opal Coast, her marital separation brings her closer to her family, notably her mother and brothers but especially her sister.

The rumor of an affair with host Cyril Hanouna, widely circulated but not yet confirmed, illustrates how Tiphaine Auzière is gradually becoming a highly observed media figure. This new exposure intrigues, fascinates, or disturbs, according to some media.
