Slimane Has His Chances to Win Eurovision 2024

The French singer Slimane on the stage of the Eurovision semi-final

France, which last won the famous contest in 1977, is automatically qualified for the Eurovision final. It enjoys the same visibility as the other competing countries thanks to a new rule of the contest. Slimane, the French representative, performed in the semi-final with his song Mon amour (My Love in French). This song, which has already earned him much praise, raises high hopes for the final.

Slimane stood out with a remarkable performance of just three minutes, moving the audience. This was enough to position the singer among the favorites. The question remains whether this successful performance will convince the jury and the audience in the final.

In parallel, a documentary titled Slimane, le conquérant ! (Slimane, the Conqueror! in French), will be broadcast. It will tell the atypical and sometimes challenging journey of the young singer, from his difficult beginnings to his selection for Eurovision. Didier Barbelivien, an emblematic figure of French song, will share anecdotes about their fruitful collaboration. We also hope to hear from the beautiful Vitaa, a great friend and stage partner of Slimane.

This documentary and Slimane’s performance at Eurovision are key moments for the artist and his fanclub. The response to his efforts will soon be revealed at the Eurovision final, a moment eagerly awaited by music critics, fans, and especially a wide audience well beyond the European Union.
