Journalist Sandrine Calvayrac Victim of Violence

Sandrine Calvayrac on a sunny day

Sandrine Calvayrac is a well-known figure in the French media landscape. Journalist and blogger, she saw her career grow alongside some of the most iconic television personalities. However, she appears in recent news under a dark light, following her denunciation of psychological violence suffered at the hands of her ex-partner, Cyrille Eldin, former host of Petit Journal on Canal+.

A Career Launched in Beauty and Fashion

Originally from the Bouches-du-Rhône, Sandrine Calvayrac has always been passionate about journalism. After obtaining her degree in this field, she turned to the world of beauty and fashion. In 2012, she founded her own blog, Simone Blog, where she shares her beauty tips, often tinged with humor and spontaneity. This blog, both personal and very professional, allowed her to make a name for herself in the industry, attracting the attention of major brands and media.

Her articles, ranging from organic skincare to the latest trends, captivate an ever-growing audience. She quickly becomes a reference in the field of cosmetics, collaborating with brands like My Little Box, for which she regularly writes the monthly booklet. The success of her blog also opens the doors to television.

A Notable Transition to Television

In 2015, Sandrine Calvayrac made her television debut by joining Stéphane Bern‘s show, Comment ça va bien ? broadcast on France 2. In this daily show, she hosts a segment dedicated to beauty, where she shares her tips and advice with viewers. This role allows her to strengthen her image as a specialist in skincare and trends.

However, the end of the show in 2016 does not mark the end of her on-screen career. She joins Canal+ the same year to participate in the new version of Petit Journal, then taken over by Cyrille Eldin after Yann Barthès’ departure. She plays the role of a special correspondent, meeting political figures. It is also at this time that her relationship with Cyrille Eldin, initially discreet, becomes public. Their story, made official on the set of Petit Journal in 2017, lasts intermittently until 2023.

A Media Relationship, but Toxic

The relationship between Cyrille Eldin and Sandrine Calvayrac, although exposed in the media, quickly turned into a toxic dynamic. After a breakup in 2018, the couple reunited in 2021. In March 2022, the birth of their son Julian seemed to mark a new stage in their life. Yet, a few months later, the situation deteriorates again. In February 2023, Sandrine Calvayrac decides to leave Paris to settle in the south of France with their child.

She files a complaint against Cyrille Eldin for psychological violence and death threats. During the trial, held in September 2024 at the Nanterre criminal court, she delivers a poignant testimony. She recounts having been insulted and threatened with death several times by her former partner, remarks made "in the privacy of the couple," according to her statements. Eldin, for his part, denies any violence, speaking only of mutual insults. He is eventually sentenced to six months suspended prison sentence for psychological violence, drug use, and unauthorized possession of a weapon.

A Woman Facing Challenges

Sandrine Calvayrac chose to make public the violence she suffered. This act could encourage many people who have gone through similar situations to make their voices heard.

Today, Sandrine Calvayrac lives in the south of France with her son. Her legal journey highlights a reality unfortunately shared by many victims, but it also underscores that the pursuit of truth and justice can lead to results.

In parallel with her commitment to women’s well-being through her blog and television appearances, Sandrine Calvayrac has become one of the growing figures in the fight against domestic violence, showing that it is possible to rebuild after difficult trials.
