Stepping back since the beginning of 2024 to support his sick wife Kate Middleton, Prince William replaced King Charles at a garden-party at Buckingham Palace on May 21st. The rain marked this day, but William could count on the support of the other women in the royal family.
Charles III, still in treatment, could not ensure his presence. William, dressed in a tailcoat and a top hat, braved the bad weather. Despite the absence of Kate Middleton, the prince fulfilled his obligations under umbrellas.
Among the guests, the children of Princess Anne, Peter and Zara Phillips, were the first to greet the crowd. Recently separated from Lindsay Wallace, Peter came alone. Zara, radiant in her white dress, was accompanied by her husband Mike Tindall, always smiling.
Beatrice and Eugenie of York were also present to support their first cousin. Beatrice, in a dark pink dress, and Eugenie, in white, left husbands and children at home to participate in the event. Their presence was a valuable support for a tested William.
This garden-party, despite the bad weather, showed the unity of the royal family. William found comfort among his relatives, hoping that Kate will be able to join them very soon.
