On Monday, May 20, Kylian Mbappé hosted a farewell evening at a restaurant in Paris’s 8th arrondissement. The event brought together 250 guests, including his teammates and close friends, at the Italian restaurant Gigi. Located on Avenue Montaigne, the venue offers a panoramic view of the Eiffel Tower. President Emmanuel Macron had been invited, but ultimately did not come.
Ironically, the restaurant was once called La Maison Blanche, the nickname of Real Madrid, Mbappé’s likely future destination. Speaking to his guests, the striker expressed his gratitude: "Everyone who is here, I consider them dear to me."
The evening drew many PSG teammates, as well as MMA fighter Ciryl Gane. PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi was absent. Mbappé left the evening around 12:30 a.m. without speaking publicly, but his mother, Fayza Lamari, confirmed the departure of Kylian’s brother, Ethan, for Lille.
Mbappé had announced his departure from PSG on May 10, after seven seasons at the club. On May 13, he was named Ligue 1’s best player for the fifth consecutive time. His future appears to be taking shape in Spain, marking the end of his Parisian adventure.
