The Beautiful Farewell of Kylian Mbappé

Kylian Mbappe, PSG legend at the Parc des Princes

On Monday, May 20, Kylian Mbappé hosted a farewell party at a restaurant in the 8th arrondissement of Paris. The event gathered 250 guests, including his teammates and close friends, at the Italian restaurant Gigi. Located on Avenue Montaigne, this establishment offers a panoramic view of the Eiffel Tower. President Emmanuel Macron was invited, but ultimately did not attend.

Ironically, the restaurant was once called La Maison Blanche, the nickname for Real Madrid, Mbappé’s likely future destination. In front of his guests, the striker expressed his gratitude: "All the people who are here, I consider them dear ones."

The evening attracted many PSG teammates, as well as MMA fighter Ciryl Gane. The president of PSG, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, was absent. Mbappé left the party around half past midnight without making any public statement, but his mother, Fayza Lamari, confirmed the departure of Kylian’s brother, Ethan, for Lille.

Mbappé had announced his departure from PSG on May 10, after seven seasons with the club. On May 13, he was named Ligue 1’s best player for the fifth consecutive time. His future seems to be shaping up in Spain, marking the end of his Parisian adventure.
