This Tuesday, June 4, Lilibet, the daughter of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, celebrated her third birthday. To mark the occasion, the Sussexes held a low-key party at their Montecito residence, in the United States. No members of the royal family were present, but Charles III did not forget his granddaughter. According to GB News, the king sent Lilibet a gift along with a message.
A royal expert says Charles III plans to spoil Lilibet even more if relations improve between the Sussexes and the royal family. He gave George a personalized wooden swing and could consider a similar gift for Lilibet, but not while the feud continues.
Born in California in 2021, Lilibet has visited the United Kingdom only once, during the Queen’s Jubilee in 2022. The distance and family tensions make her relationship with her grandfather difficult. Even so, Charles III wanted to honor her birthday.
Celebrities such as Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry attended Lilibet’s party. Meghan and Harry remain discreet about their children, but may soon put them more in the spotlight. Tom Quinn, a royal expert, suggests this could benefit the Sussex brand and draw the media attention the celebrity couple hopes for.
