Kim Kardashian Scandalizes at the Media-Covered Ambani Wedding

Kim Kardashian at Anant Ambani's wedding

Invited to the wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, which the whole world talked about, Kim Kardashian made a sensation with a red outfit, a color reserved for the bride in India. This choice sparked strong criticism.

The wedding of Anant Ambani, son of Mukesh Ambani, the richest man in Asia, and Radhika Merchant brought together celebrities from around the world at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai from July 12 to 14.

During the months of festivities, many personalities were present such as Boris Johnson, Tony Blair, John Kerry, Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, Ivanka Trump, Bob Iger, Nick Jonas, Nicky Hilton, Aishwarya Rai and her Bollywood colleagues, Rihanna and Kim Kardashian.

Dressed in a red lehenga chori [costume worn by women in certain regions of India, ed.], designed by Manish Malhotra, the US reality TV star attracted all eyes. This traditional Indian costume, generally worn by the bride, consisted of a belly-revealing bra, a long skirt, and numerous Swarovski crystals. The outfit, although spectacular, was criticized for its lack of respect towards Indian traditions.

Internet users reacted strongly, criticizing Kim Kardashian’s choice. Some commented on Instagram: "Wearing red to an Indian wedding is diabolical," or "And would you wear white to an American wedding?". Despite the criticism, Kim wore another red outfit on the last day of the wedding.
