The Sussex couple made a quick three-day visit to Nigeria, despite a concerning security environment. Risks of crime, terrorism, civil unrest, and kidnappings loom over the region.
During their trip, Harry and Meghan encountered no major incidents, making sure everything went smoothly, with the support of their security team. Their presence was notably low-key, especially during a lunch with Nigerian figures, before quickly leaving the venue, escorted by an impressive convoy of 16 vehicles.
In addition, their visit gave Meghan a chance to pay tribute to Nigerian fashion. The former actress adapted her wardrobe by choosing colorful and expressive outfits. Among her choices, a fiery red dress by Nigerian designer Oriré, at the Women In Leadership event, particularly drew attention.
The tour was marked by Meghan revealing her Nigerian roots on her mother’s side, adding a personal dimension to their involvement during this important cultural and social trip.
