Rapper Doums is scheduled to appear on October 21, 2026, for alleged domestic violence. The Créteil prosecutor’s office announced this to AFP on September 30. Mamadou Coulibaly was released after being held in custody in Vitry-sur-Seine. His lawyer is challenging the conduct of this new proceeding, separate from a conviction handed down in February and from the case involving Adèle Exarchopoulos.
What The Prosecutor’s Office Is Citing For October 21
According to the prosecutor’s office, the charges concern violence by a spouse or cohabiting partner. The announced total incapacity to work (ITT) does not exceed eight days. This medical-legal concept measures how much daily life is affected; it is not the same as sick leave.
The September 27 police custody concerned repeated threats against a spouse. The prosecutor’s office is now announcing a summons for violence, after release without judicial supervision. The charge announced for the hearing thus differs from the original reason for the police custody.
To AFP, Me Marion Coiffier says these threats are not supported by any tangible evidence. She says her client received two summonses an hour apart, dealing with different charges and different hearing dates. The prosecutor’s office statements to AFP do not detail the reasons for this change.
A Separate Conviction On February 2, 2026
In another case, the Créteil criminal court convicted Doums on February 2, 2026. It handed down an eight-month suspended sentence after a closed-door hearing. The prosecutor had sought 20 months, including 10 under electronic monitoring and 10 suspended.
The defense had told AFP that the ruling included a partial acquittal. The court had found him not guilty of the allegations covering 2022, 2023, and 2024.
Adèle Exarchopoulos: A Separate Trial In February 2027
A third proceeding concerns Adèle Exarchopoulos’s allegations of domestic violence against her former partner. The schedule of the Association of Judicial Reporters lists this hearing at the Paris criminal court on February 8, 2027.
The court set this new date during the June 29, 2026 hearing, according to AFP. The proceedings are to be held behind closed doors, meaning without the public.
Three Separate Proceedings
There are therefore three dates for three cases. The Créteil criminal court issued its ruling on February 2, 2026. The Créteil prosecutor’s office announced the October 21 hearing, without specifying the court involved. Finally, the trial concerning Adèle Exarchopoulos is set for February 8, 2027, before the Paris criminal court.
Doums remains presumed innocent of the facts that will be examined in the two upcoming trials.
