Benjamin Szwarc, a contestant from season 10 of The Voice France, passed away on Saturday, May 18th. His loved ones announced the news on Facebook on Wednesday, May 22nd, referring to it as an "accidental death". He was only 29 years old.

"Benjamin was an artist to the very depths of his soul," his family wrote on the social network. "He loved more than anything to sing, play, dance, and make people laugh. Although he left us far too soon, Benjamin left behind precious messages that we will strive to discover and understand. Rest in peace. We will love you all our lives".

Benjamin Szwarc had participated in the blind auditions of season 10 of The Voice France in 2021. He had impressed the coaches with his beautiful high-pitched voice. His rendition of Rêver by Mylène Farmer did not allow him to join a team, but he was praised: "Nature has given you a gift," Florent Pagny assured him.

ITV Studios France, which produces the program, paid tribute to him on social media on Thursday: "With deep sadness, we learned yesterday of the death of Benjamin Szwarc, a talent who had passed the blind auditions of season 10 of The Voice France. Along with the TF1 teams, our thoughts go out to his family and loved ones in these difficult times".

Benjamin Szwarc oscillated between music and humor. He had published a few independent pieces. Since the announcement of his disappearance, tributes have been multiplying on social media.
